The PreProfessional Advising Office is here to help students navigate the path thru your undergraduate experience here at the U, and hopefully into the next stage of the path toward becoming a doctor, whether it’s of medicine, dentistry or one of the other areas we advise for.
From the moment a student considers the U, becoming a competitive applicant to any professional school is about so much more than completing a list of prerequisite classes. It’s about finding that unique matrix of experiences that’s going help each student be, individually, the most competitive applicant that each one can be when they hit that submit button for their professional school application service.
At our office, you can:
Make appointments to meet one-on-one with an advisor
Feel free to call or email us anytime with questions—or just drop by the office and take advantage of our “there to share” jar while you get a question answered or make an appointment. We are here to help you!
Pre-Nursing, Pre-Pharmacy and other Pre-healthcare professions should meet with University Colllege advisors.
In order to complete the quality assurance process for the updates to their 2014 application, the AMCAS application opening will be delayed by one week. The 2014 AMCAS application is now scheduled to open on May 8 at 9:30 a.m. ET.
This postponement does not affect the remainder of the AMCAS timeline. AMCAS will still begin accepting application submissions on June 4, and to begin transmitting application data to medical schools on June 28.
This is only for students with a UID and a CIS password. If you don't have both, call the office at 801-581-5744 to make an appointment with an advisor.
