Academic Standards Workshop - Academic Standards - Academic Advising Center

If your cumulative GPA is below 2.0 for the first time, you will be placed on academic warning and an advising hold will be placed on your registration. You will need to complete an Academic Standards Workshop to get the hold removed.

We will send an email to your official University email account with a link to log into the workshop, which will be administered through Canvas.
The workshop will explain in detail the U's probation policy and offer strategies and resources to help students overcome academic difficulties.

Workshop Instructions

Accessing the Workshop

Log into Canvas with your uNID and password

Click the Courses menu at the top of the page, select the Academic Standards Workshop link, and follow the instructions

Workshop Structure

The workshop has two parts, a Workbook and a Quiz.

You must finish both in order to have your hold removed.

Completing the Workshop

Complete the entire workshop before you submit it.

Submitting it in sections can significantly delay the removal of your hold.

Complete the workshop as soon as possible. Waiting until it is time to register will also significantly delay the time it takes to remove your hold.

Hold Removal Timeline

After you complete the quiz with a score of 19 out of 19 and turn in your workbook, it may take up to 3-5 business days for your registration hold to be removed.

Allow extra time if you complete the workshop during a holiday.

Please Note

If this is the second time you have been placed on warning or you have completed the workshop in the past, DO NOT DO IT AGAIN. On your second warning you must schedule an appointment with an advisor in order to have your hold removed.
