First Year Business Students

First Year Business students will have their MAP 1 Hold cleared through their MGT 1000 class. MGT 1000 students should check their Canvas for more information about when their specific MAP day is, and for a pre-session assignment that needs to be completed prior to their MAP date. 

 Transfer Business Students

Transfer Business students will have the opportunity to choose one of several group advising sessions throughout September and October. RSVP links for Transfer sessions will be sent out to students in mid-September. 

What if a student misses their advising session?

- Any First Years who do not attend their MGT 1000 class and any Transfer students who miss the initial wave of group advising sessions will have the opportunity to attend makeup sessions and receive information about makeup options.  

- If students miss all of the available sessions, they will schedule a 1:1 appointment with their assigned advisor in November

First Year & Transfer Pre-Nursing students will be sent an appointment campaign message through Navigate to sign up for a group advising appointment.  Various dates & times to choose from in October.

RN-BS transfer students will be invited to join a virtual group appointment.  The RN-BS program manager will communicate this requirement and organize it as part of the program orientation/on-boarding process. 

ALL Pre-Licensure (regardless of if they are a transfer students or have been at the U previously) will meet 1-1 with their Academic Advisor after their first test in Clinical Management I (around week 5) of their first semester as part of the M1 Advising plan.  This requirement is communicated to them during their program/orientation onboarding process and an email is sent out with instructions on how/when to sign up.
