Milestone 2
During your second semester, a hold will be placed on your account to prompt engagement with your academic advisor. Milestone 2 does not always require an advising appointment. Each program determines which tasks its students are asked to complete, and these tasks are designed to help identify students who may benefit from additional guidance, ensure students are making progress toward degree requirements, and connect students with the support they need to succeed academically.
You may be asked by your major to fill out a survey, complete a Canvas course, or take a quiz to have your hold removed. Some majors may require an advising appointment, but if you receive instructions for a task to complete, know that you are not required to also schedule an appointment. If you want a more in-depth check-in, please reach out to your advisor about availability for a 1:1 appointment to remove the hold.

This is an opportunity to check in with your academic advisor and continue with future semester course planning, as well as discuss ways you can engage with the campus community and supplement your learning outside of the classroom.
