Undergraduate Studies Taco Tuesday for Transfer Students
Tuesday August 23
11:00 am to 1:00 pm
Come to the Sill Center (map) east of the Union at 11:00 on Tuesday, August 23 between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm and have some tacos while talking to representatives from Undergraduate Studies programs. What is Undergraduate Studies? Undergraduate Studies (UGS) is an office on campus that organizes and supports student programs (http://ugs.utah.edu/student-programs/index.php) that help you:
- Learn about campus when you arrive - New Student and Family Programs (orientation.utah.edu)
- Successfully find the right classes, experiences, and a major - Student Success and Empowerment Initiative (success.utah.edu) and University College Advising (uc.utah.edu)
- Design your own degree - Bachelor of Undergraduate Studies program (ugs.utah.edu/bus)
- Create a personal learning experience or internship - My Utah Signature Experience (muse.utah.edu)
- Participate in a learning community - LEAP Program (leap.utah.edu)
- Perform research with a professor - Office of Undergraduate Research (our.utah.edu)
- Become a leader - Leadership Studies Minor (leadershipstudies.utah.edu)
- Earn an honors degree or certificate - Honors College (honors.utah.edu)
- Volunteer in the community - Bennion Center (bennioncenter.utah.edu)
- Travel to another campus in the United States to study for a semester - National Student Exchange (nse.utah.edu)
