You are invited to our New Transfer Student Welcome on Tuesday, August 29th from 11am to 1pm on the Sill Center Patio. The Sill Center is across the pay lot from the Union Building. Learn about resources and opportunities for transfer students, meet other new transfer students, and enjoy free tacos from a taco truck!

The Major Expo is an event that showcases the programs and resources available to current and prospective students. It is a great opportunity to meet and connect with academic advisors and reps from across campus to learn more about EVERY major, minor, and certificate! There will also be reps from various offices and organizations across campus to share details about engagement opportunities and campus resources. Whether you are completely undecided or are fully declared (come explore minor and certificate opportunities), this event is great for everyone!

Spring 2023 New Transfer Student Welcome!

Spring 2023 New Transfer Student Welcome on Tuesday January 17 from 10:30am to 1pm

Attention all new transfer students! We have an event just for you! This is information and connections we feel are most beneficial at the start of the Spring 2023 semester. Did you know that many scholarships for Fall semester are due at the end of January or beginning of February? Join the first part of the Welcome with a transfer workshop with presenters from 7 different scholarship granting offices! This is a great chance to hear from a wide variety of scholarship offices all at once. Workshop accessible in person or over Zoom. Everyone is welcome to get the scholarship information over Zoom. After the workshop, stay for a FREE lunch where you will have a chance to eat lunch with a variety of faculty and staff at the U of U that work directly with transfer students. This is a chance to get to know supportive faculty and offices on campus while having lunch. The Crimson Transfer Honor Society (CTHS) student organization will also be there doing a small service project and will also have some activities for children if you are a student parent.

Spring Get Involved Fair! Chance to meet active student groups on campus

Get Involved Fair Thursday January 12, 10am to 2pm

Getting involved is SNOW much fun, so make sure to join us at the Spring Get Involved Fair on Thursday, January 12th, from 10 am - 2 pm in the Union Ballroom! “Why should I go?” Attending the Get Involved Fair is a great way to explore tons of exciting involvement opportunities as student organizations from across campus showcase what they are all about. At the Get Involved Fair, students will have the chance to meet representatives from student organizations, learn about involvement opportunities, and explore the hundreds of student organizations that exist on campus! The Crimson Transfer Honor Society will be participating in this event.

Join the Office of First-Generation Access for Resource Fest

First Generation College Celebration

The University of Utah is excited to participate in the national First-Generation College Celebration! This year First Gen Scholars, TRIO Programs, and the Eccles School of Business are partnering in the First-Generation College Celebration, which aims to acknowledge and celebrate the contributions of first-generation University of Utah students. On Thursday Nov 10th from 3 pm to 5 pm there will be a First Gen Fest where you can engage in hands-on learning opportunities, interact with campus resources, and learn about available leadership opportunities.
