Spring Get Involved Fair! Chance to meet active student groups on campus

Get Involved Fair Thursday January 12, 10am to 2pm

Getting involved is SNOW much fun, so make sure to join us at the Spring Get Involved Fair on Thursday, January 12th, from 10 am - 2 pm in the Union Ballroom! “Why should I go?” Attending the Get Involved Fair is a great way to explore tons of exciting involvement opportunities as student organizations from across campus showcase what they are all about. At the Get Involved Fair, students will have the chance to meet representatives from student organizations, learn about involvement opportunities, and explore the hundreds of student organizations that exist on campus! The Crimson Transfer Honor Society will be participating in this event.

The Justice Advocacy Program is currently accepting applications for the Fall 2023-Spring 2024 program. The program is through the Tanner Center for Human Rights. The Justice Advocacy Program is open to all undergraduate students at the U. Are you interested in Social Justice? Check out the new Justice Advocacy Fellow Program! You could be a Social Justice Advocate, intern with a partner organization, and receive a $3000 scholarship. First Generation College Celebration

The University of Utah is excited to participate in the national First-Generation College Celebration! This year First Gen Scholars, TRIO Programs, and the Eccles School of Business are partnering in the First-Generation College Celebration, which aims to acknowledge and celebrate the contributions of first-generation University of Utah students. On Thursday Nov 10th from 3 pm to 5 pm there will be a First Gen Fest where you can engage in hands-on learning opportunities, interact with campus resources, and learn about available leadership opportunities.

National Transfer Student Week is October 17-21

The University of Utah (U of U) is taking part in celebrating National Transfer Student Week (NTSW), which is October 17 – 21. You can see the U of U's list of events here: https://transfer.utah.edu/nationaltransferstudentweek.php NTSW is sponsored by the National Institute for the Study of Transfer Students (NISTS) and the goals of the week are to acknowledge and celebrate transfer students, build awareness of transfer student barriers and successes, and instill transfer pride on our campus. There will be lots of food, information and workshops relevant to transfer students, opportunities for transfer students to have their voices heard, as well as be spotlighted on campus.

Fall 2022 Learning Abroad Week: October 3 - 7

Learning Abroad Fair

Learning Abroad Week will take place both in-person and online October 3-7. All week, the Learning Abroad office will highlight different programs, scholarships and on-campus offices involved in helping students “Go Global.” Students are invited to schedule Zoom sessions with learning abroad advisors throughout the week. Then, on Wednesday, October 5, students can meet faculty directors, affiliate provider reps, and past exchange participants in person at the Union Ballroom from 11 a.m.–2 p.m. All Learning Abroad programs will be on display, students can find their ideal learning abroad program! While at the in-person fair on October 5, students can pick up a voucher for lunch at a food truck on the Union patio (first-come, first-served), and register for an opportunity to win a U Asia Campus letterman jacket. There is also a Transfer Workshop focusing on student experiences as part of Learning Abroad Week on Friday, October 7 at 2pm in the Sill Center Large Conference Room and Zoom.
