The Career & Professional Development Center Launches Handshake

Sometimes the most intimidating part of college is actually what comes afterward – finding that perfect job. You’ve been working hard to finish your degree and move into your career. Handshake can make the transition from college to workforce a little bit easier.

The Career & Professional Development Center just launched a new jobs and internship database called Handshake. The new system went live for all students on June 19^th and replaced UCareerPath.  Handshake is a system that matches student interests and experiences to career opportunities with more than 250,000 employers, including all Fortune 500 companies. Handshake will still provide access to all the tools and resources that were available previously, including Careershift, GoinGlobal, Focus2 and Virtual Job Shadow, as well as access to even more jobs and internships than the previous system.  

All enrolled students will have an account, and can access these resources by following this link: https://utah.joinhandshake.com/login  Additionally, check your UMail for an email invitation and more details.
