Leadership Volunteering Opportunity with International Student Services– April 8th

International Student and Scholar Services is offering an opportunity not only to boost your leadership skills and gain volunteer hours, but also to learn more about another culture and even make new friends. Sign-up to volunteer for ISSS’s workshop for Pakistani students studying here in the U.S.

“Volunteers will be mingling with international students from Pakistan and assisting with accompanying groups in service-learning sites, attending leadership conferences, tours and cultural events welcoming students at the airport, assisting with group registration and hotel check-in, among other roles. It is a fun opportunity to develop your leadership skills while sharing the American culture and learning more about the Pakistani culture.

Students are welcome to volunteer for the entire duration of the workshop or for as little as two hours. Two hours is the minimum time commitment requested from volunteers. Volunteers must also attend a brief information session with ISSS staff. Details about time and dates of such sessions will be emailed to the volunteers.

In addition to initial orientation and training, volunteers will be provided U of U swag and will be give opportunities to engage with Pakistani students over meals and fun activities. ISSS will also provide a certificate for students looking to boost their number of volunteering hours.”
