Connect2Health

Are you interested in a great volunteer opportunity? Consider volunteering with the Connect2Health Program.

Connect2Health is a University of Utah volunteer program that seeks to address the social determinants of health in our communities.  They meet one-on-one with low-income patients to provide them access to information regarding public benefits, food, clothing, housing, and more.  Volunteers integrate and collaborate closely with healthcare teams at sites such as the University of Utah Hospital, Primary Children’s Hospital, and the Fourth Street Clinic to create more personalized holistic care for patients.  

The commitment for a General Volunteer is one 3-hour shift per week and a 1-hour bimonthly meeting. For more information about being a general volunteer contact our Recruitment Chair at Connect2Health.Recruitment@health.utah.edu  

Connect2Health is also affiliated with AmeriCorps. AmeriCorps (AC) is a non-profit organization. AC Members provide support to hundreds of community organizations through direct service and capacity building efforts. Being an AC member you will get an education award ($1,342.86) for successfully completing your term, increase personal growth in a professional setting, receive a Certificate of National Service, and build your resume. 

The commitment for an AmeriCorps Member is 300 hours in 12 months, consisting of serving 6 hours per week, attending a 1-hour weekly meeting, completing two forms each month, and a conducting a mobilization project (a project that benefits the community).
