Program Description
The goal of the Human Rights and Resources pathway is to offer courses and experiences that give students a systems-level approach to understanding how material and cultural resources are limited and variably distributed across people and groups, and the kinds of scientific and ethical frameworks that can promote greater equity in resource developments and use
Note: The Ecology and Legacy Minor is a cohort experience. Students apply and then commit to completing the entire minor in a pre-determined sequence. Please see the Honors website for current coursework schedules and learning abroad sites.
Academic and Career Opportunities
The training and experiences gained by students who complete the minor will help prepare them to make unique contributions in their chosen professional fields. For students pursuing careers in the sciences, the minor will allow them to place their disciplinary expertise in larger humanistic frameworks. For students whose career paths lie outside of the sciences, the minor offers an opportunity to think about pressing global issues in the context of specific forms of disciplinary knowledge, including those drawn from the STEM-affiliated fields.
